The Crest company has scheduled a cycle of four workshops from Monday to Thursday from 1st to 25th July entitled “The weeks of creativity” which has already registered full registrations as part of the “A theater under the chimneys” project. These are workshops dedicated to children and young people designed with the classic “camp” formula during the school closure period. The initiative includes games, reading workshops, theatre, music and circus with the aim of bridging the city’s gap in terms of cultural and educational services during the summer. Therefore, the TaTà theater will welcome girls and boys free of charge and will involve the Crest staff and an “expert” for each of the reference arts scheduled during the week in each workshop.
The four workshops will be structured in this way. From 1st to 4th July Annina Saragaglia, “street theatre” and “tip tap” performer, born in Germany but raised in Puglia, will propose a project on dance, rhythm and movement, while from 8th to 11th July the meetings will be on circus arts and will see the participation of the managers of Circo Laboratorio Nomade, the circus school of Crispiano born thanks to the regional project «Bollenti Spiriti» through which a new way of understanding the combination of art and sport has come to life in the province of Taranto.
From July 15th to 18th there will be a music workshop with Fabio Trimigno, including a learning phase for building instruments, while the closing, from July 22nd to 25th, will be entrusted to the artists of Crest with a focus on theatre.
Furthermore, these four workshops are part of a larger project that also includes a program of “tout public” shows underway in the renovated summer arena of the company’s headquarters, in via Grazia Deledda, in the Tamburi neighborhood, where the eight events of the “In courtyard at TaTà” series will be held until September 4, also included in the “A theater under the chimneys” project launched by Crest as part of the pilot actions for cultural welfare and the enhancement of cultural sites promoted by the Puglia Region, the Department of Tourism, Economy of Culture and Enhancement of the Territory, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese – Consortium for the Arts and Culture and the Arts, Culture and Tourism Center – PACT
