Butera – The city council has approved the 2024 Pef. The economic and financial plan will determine an overall reduction in the waste tax, without taking anything away from the high quality of the service offered by the operator Impianti Srr 4.
The approval in the City Council of the Economic and Financial Plan relating to the cost of Waste Services for the year 2024, provides for a reduction of 21%. This will allow, in the next Civic Council, the approval of the new Tari rates, a significant reduction in the waste tax for the population of Buterese.
The cut amount was recovered through personnel costs, landfill costs, a portion of the tourist tax was deducted and finally the uncollectable credits were eliminated.
“To achieve this result,” explained Mayor Giovanni Zuccalà, “I studied the Pef scheme for a long time and cut many items in the cost of personnel, in landfill disposal, in the tourist tax, in bad debts, managing to save 250,000 euros. This will determine a significant saving on the citizens’ Tari.
We achieved the objective without burdening the services which remain the same as in the past. Pasqualetto and Balbo were absent from the city council. Di Menza and Giuliana against without giving reasons for their vote against. But this did not undermine the objective.”
