In the budget adjustment maneuver of the Province of Trento there are 400 million euros of the 2023 surplus dedicated to the new hospital and university center of Trentino, to which is added 300 million euros financed by debt. 100 million euros are also foreseen for roads in Valsugana, 150 million for covering the works already started and 80 million for the Trento-Bondone cable car. The budget adjustment – we read in a note – was presented this morning to entrepreneurs and trade unions by the president of the Province Maurizio Fugatti and the councilor for economic development Achille Spinelli. The maneuver was approved in the afternoon by the executive, in view of its arrival in the Provincial Council.

The maneuver also includes resources to complete the renewal of public sector contracts for the three-year period 2022-2024 and for the 2025-2027 period, with 330 million for the three-year period 2024-2026, and the exemption from the regional additional income tax also to incomes between 25,000 and 30,000 euros. 66 million are also foreseen for tourism promotion and for Trentino development interventions, over 80 million for energy transition, internationalisation, innovation, research and support for business finance, around 27 million for rationalisation. of water use and for the renewal of agricultural systems. Over 30 million are expected for research for 2024-2026, and the University of Trento will receive the same amount. 50 million will go to the protection and enhancement of the territory, 44 to the maintenance of infrastructure, 21.5 to the redevelopment of Itea properties and 20 to the energy redevelopment of condominiums and homes. Around 90 million euros are allocated to the health authority, partly to reduce waiting lists, partly for staff and for the maintenance of the building stock. 18 million are also foreseen for provincial APSPs, 21 to strengthen the cultural offer in the area, 21.9 for sport and over 13 million for education. The discussion with the Cal regarding the resources to be allocated to local authorities is still ongoing.
