A wolf attack has sown panic in the community of SanMangoCilento, in the municipality of Sessa Cilento. Yesterday, three large wolves attacked a flock of goats grazing in the Trinità area, a few meters from the houses.

The owner of the flock, VincenzoGrazianowas alerted by some worried residents who saw some cattle running away. When he arrived on the scene, Graziano found the three wolves intent on tearing apart a goat that had just been slaughtered. Only with the help of a friend did he manage to scare the predators away, who did not seem to want to leave the carcass. The flock’s guard dog was also attacked, but fortunately only suffered minor injuries.

This is not the first time that wolves have been sighted in the towns of the Monte Stella area. This new episode, which occurred so close to the town, has increased the concern among the residents. Vincenzo Graziano and the residents of the area are now asking the Park Authority to take measures to protect people and livestock.

The attack has reignited debate over wildlife management in the region, with residents calling for more effective measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
