Orthogeriatrics, explains the ASL, “makes fractured elderly people, even those over one hundred years old, walk again early” and provides a recovery path in close collaboration between orthopaedist, geriatrician, anesthetist, nurse, physiotherapist and, if requested, also the assistant social, so as to address the numerous problems resulting from femur fracture with a multi-specialist approach”.
