He appeared in front of the teachers with a heavy soul: «she was very harsh with what happened. Last night I dreamed of my brother hugging Thomas. He is not as they describe him, he is not violent. I will always be at his side.” Whatever happens. «I cried for Thomas – says the boy – First of all, me and my family are sorry for him. Since Sunday I’ve been living hell. My brother is accused of this massacre and if he made a mistake he will have to pay. I will always love him, but he must pay the right price for what he did. If he were to be proven responsible, he needs to spend those years in institutions where he can be helped.” He apologizes to his family and repeats that he will stay close to his brother. «Now I have to deal with the ferocity and indifference that the investigations speak of. We don’t ask for discounts, we believe in justice.” At times his voice cracks, but he tries to remain calm, to compete with his brutality. He assures that he knows nothing about the drugs, the underground life of his brother and the other minor under investigation. I’m not bad, I’m simply conditioned by something.”

And again on social media, at a certain point, someone published a photograph of the sixteen-year-old under investigation. In a few minutes he went around the chats and collected thousands of comments, unleashing a wave of hatred. “I hope that in prison they give you the right punishment”, the wish. «This must live to suffer the pains of hell until the last day», the hope. And again: “You are useless, hang yourself as soon as possible because if you end up in prison you will end up badly.” Some even contemplate retaliation against the family: «I am ready to give a monetary reward to anyone who reveals to me the names and addresses of the parents. Contact me privately.” Many are already predicting: “They are daddy’s boys, they will get by with little.” Because the mother of one suspect is a lawyer, the father of the other policeman, an existence based on respect for the law. Sergio, the brother of the grandmother who raised Thomas, expresses his doubts: «Maybe they were good at home and outside they were monsters, I can’t know. But I ask myself: how could it be that a policeman, with a watchful eye I imagine, didn’t notice the path his son had taken.” The father of the minor who witnessed the stabbing is also an officer of the weapon.
