QUARRATA – On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the foundation of Banca Alta Toscana, the Prefect of Pistoia, Dr. Licia Donatella Messina, visited the Vignole-Quarrata headquarters, where she met the president Alberto Banci, the general director Tiziano Caporali and the president of Executive Committee Sandra Bongi.
The Prefect’s visit was an opportunity to talk about the history and role of the bank in the Pistoia area.
President Banci underlined that Banca Alta Toscana – Credito Cooperativo distributes a significant part of its profits in the area through charity, mutuality and benefits for members. Furthermore, at least 95% of the credit is provided to businesses and families in the local community, generating an important driving force for the local economy.
The Messina prefect appreciated the history and values of the bank and its roots in the territory, highlighting that, over the 120 years of its history, it has contributed to the growth and affirmation of local businesses, confirming itself as a bank close to citizens and entrepreneurs.
The Prefect also visited the Forum and the Auditorium, noting the potential of the multifunctional spaces where many of the bank’s institutional activities take place but which are also made available for cultural and recreational activities as well as for public utility functions, such as when the Forum is was used by the local health authority for anti-covid vaccination.
