After a brief respite with milder temperatures – and some violent downpour which caused quite a few inconveniences – will return at the weekend the African anticyclone which will bring the temperatures up to 40 degrees in Pugliaespecially to Bari And Foggia10 more than the average for the period.

Since Friday the heat, notes the meteorologist, «he’ll start getting serious: maximums of up to 38° C are expected between Sardinia and Sicily, 35 in Puglia and Campania, 34 muggy in the Po Valley (Ferrara and Forlì), same temperature but lower humidity also in Rome and Terni. The peak of the African anticyclone will be reached in the weekend with 42 degrees in Sicily, 40 in Puglia, 38 also in Matera.
With the heat waves the yellow dot on several Italian cities. Among these there is also Bari. The yellow dot, alert level 1, indicates «meteorological conditions that may precede the occurrence of a heat wave. This level does not require immediate action, but indicates that risky health conditions are likely to occur in the following days.”
