TREVISO – They leave this evening, Thursday 27 June, the extension works of the sewerage network and renovation of the aqueduct network along Viale della Repubblica in Treviso. The expected duration of the construction site will be 240 days and involves the laying of approximately 1 km m of sewerage pipe and 500 meters of water mains with an investment by ATS of almost 1.8 million euros. The start of construction work will lead to a series of road closures and changes to traffic.

The project will be developed in phases of progress and this first tranche of the construction site will include, from 10 pm on the 27th, on Viale della Repubblica, at the traffic light intersection with Strada di San Pelaio, the start of construction site operations preparatory to the works. For approximately ten working days, the Strada di San Pelaio, in the stretch between Viale della Repubblica and Via San Bartolomeo, will be one-way in the same direction. At the same time, the closure of the travel lane in the direction of Treviso/San Pelaio is expected for the indicated works. Finally, during the works, urban public transport vehicles will be diverted according to the plan agreed with the Mom public transport company.

At the end of the first phase, for one duration of approximately three weeks, Viale della Repubblica, in the section between Strada di San Pelaio and Via Fonderia, will be subject to measures to narrow and/or partially close the lanes, while still maintaining two-way traffic. “The ATS project, outlined in synergy with the Municipal Administration, aims to guarantee the sewerage service to users currently not served”, declares the Director of Ats Pierpaolo Florian – furthermore, providing for the collection of waste water to the purification plant of ATS will be able to concentrate the effectiveness of the treatments and thus ensure greater control of the discharged water, protecting and safeguarding the surrounding environment”.

“As I had the opportunity to declare on the occasion of the start of other construction sites relating to sewerage, a real revolution is taking shape in terms of sustainability and environmental protection, as well as the improvement of services for citizens”, the words of the mayor of city of Treviso Mario Conte. “The construction sites will entail some changes to the road system and inevitably some inconvenience, but we are taking all measures to limit and contain traffic restrictions. We thank the citizens for their collaboration: thanks to the planned intervention, the city of Treviso will be able to benefit, also in this area, from the complete sewerage network with the relevant connections to the users and the renewed aqueduct network to reduce losses in the network”.
