Water crisis in the province of Agrigento. A general cry of alarm, which is affecting the local tourist accommodation sector on the one hand, but also the productivity and agriculture sector, which has been facing serious difficulties for months due to drought and the lack of water resources.
An attempt is being made to stem the situation, in the pact of Government interventions almost six million are already available for the province of Agrigento for wells, and another 20 million for desalination plants and other sources, but in the meantime Aica has prepared a Replacement water supply system using tankers which will transport clean and above all controlled water. Many problems have occurred in recent weeks in Sciacca, in Canicattì, and then there is Ravanusa and Campobello di Licata, where the citizens, exasperated by the missed shift, or because they have not received any response for the tanker service, have turned to the Carabinieri formalizing a complaint against Aica for interruption of public service.
