English: “We have received a request for clarification from some citizens living in Marina di Ragusa regarding the work currently underway in the same coastal hamlet for the construction of an antenna/repeater for telecommunications purposes. We have therefore submitted a request for access to the documents in order to know the documentation in the possession of the body regarding the use of public land and/or concession for the construction of the same currently underway in via Ammiraglio Rizzo”. This is what the city councilors Federico Bennardo, Sebastiano Zagami and Rossana Caruso point out. “If these were formally documented – the three underline – we have also asked to know the details of the project and any document in the possession of the body regarding the possible environmental impact or health risk of the antenna/repeater. Marina di Ragusa experiences a periodic and exponential increase in population during the summer season which makes adaptation work within the hamlet essential to avoid disruptions: we are thinking of the water network, the electricity network and last but not least the telecommunications network. Regarding the latter, however, it is good to know first what options are on the table in order to choose the best one in terms of impact” (in the photo from left Zagami, Caruso and Bennardo).
