Even today we witnessed yet another farce in the Social Policies commission where the representatives of the Social Center of Via Graziella were heard.
Well yes, 4 months after the closure and despite the promise to finish the work by May 31st, to date there has still been no delivery of the community center, due to the understandable bitterness of the elderly.
It seems to be on Scherzi a Parte, no response on the reopening of the centre, elderly people made fun of by the administration, simply anger and shame!!!
This Center is not to be considered just a building, but the beating heart of the local community, a place of inestimable value for socialization and support for the elderly who actively participate in it. These people are not mere objects to be moved, but individuals, to whom respect and consideration.
It is inconceivable that, after twenty years of dedication and active participation, these elderly people are treated with such contempt and indifference.
I therefore strongly ask that the full operation of the Social Center be restored and that all necessary measures be taken to guarantee the elderly the right to continue to use the services that the center offers
