Concrete actions for the prevention of accidents at work and occupational diseases were the main focus of the meeting held between Inail Marcherepresented by the regional director Piero Iaconoand a delegation from Cisl Marcheled by the secretary general Marco Ferracuti. During the two hours of discussion, an in-depth analysis of the current situation was carried out, with particular attention to data relating to accidents, near-miss (near accidents) and occupational diseases. Particular attention was paid to companies, underlining the importance of monitoring and evaluating episodes of near-misses, often underestimated, to eliminate potential sources of risk.

Marco Ferracuti, general secretary of CISL Marche, declared: “CISL Marche is interested in promoting a cultural change regarding accidents at work and occupational diseases, supporting an educational path that starts in schools. Informing in schools and focusing attention in companies with initiatives aimed at both workers and entrepreneurs is essential. Increasing moments of discussion is essential to reduce the number of tragedies. A sustainable goal by joining forces.”

Piero Iacono, director of Inail Marche, added: “Inail Marche, in line with the national philosophy of the Institute, is constantly committed to supporting policies that produce a reduction in accidents at work and occupational diseases. We offer financing to support companies that invest in workplace safety and promote awareness campaigns to highlight the importance of appropriate behavior in the workplace”.
