From his life as an entrepreneur at the helm of Stone Island, of which he is still president despite its sale to Moncler, to meetings with international personalities of the caliber of Nelson Mandela or, changing scope and going down several steps on the ladder of importance, Kanye West, with whom a collaboration related to Stone Island could have been born, then skipped, until reaching current events and his project with Modena. Many themes were touched upon by the president of the Canary Islands club, Carlo Rivetti, interviewed by Gianluca Gazzoli in the podcast “The BSMT”. Regarding the topics more closely linked to Modena, the president of the Canary club said:

“Why did we decide to buy Modena? Mine is a family in which we are all crazy about football, but we supported different teams: I was an Inter fan, like Matteo, while Silvio and Camilla support Milan and my wife Roma. So the only team that united us and for which we could go to the stadium together was the national team. So the secret dream was to have a team that united the whole family. We had already received proposals to take over football teams, but then, together with the fact that Stone Island is based in Ravarino, we met Romano Sghedoni: we immediately “fell in love” with each other. I looked into his eyes and in him I immediately saw the eyes of my elders, who were transparent, clean and honest people. He told us we were the right ones and we never talked about money. He left us a healthy, debt-free society and he didn’t make us pay a penny for it. Modena is the Italian city that, after Covid, has had the greatest growth in foreign tourists in percentage terms. What attracts them are the motor valley, the Ferrari museum, the Pavarotti museum, the balsamic vinegar, but, on the occasion of the last home match of last season, two gentlemen from England dressed in Stone Island also arrived to watch the match.

Museum? We have already bought around 8,000 memorabilia relating to Modena, with two gems: Luciano Pavarotti’s number 1 card and Enzo Ferrari’s Modena manager card. We want to build the museum: we have already presented the plan.

Sports Center? At Modena we have a long-term project. In Italy we are the team that has the most Italian players and in which they can boast the most playing time and the Primavera team won their championship. However, we are missing the sports centre: we presented the project about a year ago, the bureaucracy should probably be cleared in August, then it will take eighteen months to complete it. These are biblical times: among the bodies that must approve the project there is also the air force…”.
