Pistoia, 25 June 2024 – Second of three races on the calendar for the fourth season of the Pistoia Provincial Championship – “Memorial Roberto Misseri”, promoted by ACI PISTOIA.

The initiative of the provincial ACI, dedicated to its sporting members, is ready to experience new performances with its members at the “39th Rally della Valdinievole and Montalbano”, organized by Laserprom 015 based in Larciano.

Reserved for Acisport licensees, with a separate license in Pistoia, the ACI Pistoia sports championship has provided for everyone to register for the official trophy at the first race on the Pistoia mountains but for this second rally in the area the conductors and co-drivers are called to make it official membership.

The first race saw a pair of drivers who have brought prestige to Pistoia motor racing in recent times take the lead: Alessandro Ciardi (Toyota GR Yaris) and Daniele Silvestri (Peugeot 208 Rally4), tied with 11 points.

The race in Larciano could give relief to several others, given the absence of both drivers, starting with Paolo Moricci from Montecati, third with 7 points, who will be at the start with his Renault Clio Rally4, shared with Paolo Garavaldi.

Among the co-drivers, Leonardo Marraccini is in the lead, alongside Silvestri, in second place is Iacopo Innocenti, who supported Gaddini from Lucca on a Renault Clio S1600, 14th overall, while Paolo Garavaldi is third. With the absence of the first two, also in this case the expert co-driver from Montecatini has an important chance to perhaps take the lead.

In the RC2N category, therefore the “top car” cars, Davide Giordano is in command, with the Skoda Fabia R5, with 4 points (and also first in the “over 55”), ahead of Mirko Baldacci (Skoda) with 2 points and third is Federico Gasperetti (1 point). With both pursuers missing, Giordano, who will be at the start in Larciano, has the right opportunity to make an important breakthrough. In the RC5N category, Luca Fagni took the lead in the classification, making his debut with the Renault Clio Rally5 but on this second occasion the driver from Larcia will be at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia, therefore ready to shuffle the cards in the RC2N category. On the eve of the “Valdinievole” with 6 points, there are Antonio Ilari, Giacomo Biondi and Stefano Giannini, all in a Peugeot 106. The first two will not be there, Giannini, who will race with a new co-driver, will instead be at the starting line, also ready to extend in this case. In this category, three co-drivers in the standings, all with 2 points. They are Gianni Melani, who joined Ilari, then Marco Ancillotti (to Biondi’s notes) and Camilla Gaggioli, who read the notes to Giannini. Of the three there will only be Ancillotti, who among other things will get into a Supercar for the first time, the Skoda Fabia R5 “evo” of the returning Luca Artino.

The Championship regulations and all the rankings are published on the website www.pistoia.aci.it
