New procedure for getting a passport in Brescia

Getting a passport for travel abroad has always required a very long procedure, and for this reason the Brescia Passport Office has adopted new procedures to facilitate its issuance and reduce waiting times. In particular 5 new State Police officers have been assigned to the sector. Furthermore with the entry into operation of the two agendas (ordinary and priority) they will no longer have to send PEC to the Brescia Police Headquarters.

The offices are open to the public every day from Monday to Friday from 09 to 13 and from 15 to 19. Appointments can still be requested online, by connecting to https://passaportonline.poliziadistato.it/ and accessing with SPID or CIE by clicking on the item “citizens”. Everyone can request up to a maximum of two appointments.

Once you enter the platform there will be three different choices: ordinary, priority and on-call appointments

  1. ORDINARY APPOINTMENTS:

This section is dedicated to ordinary departures scheduled for the months following the date of access to the electronic platform. The appointment can be madedepending on availability and everything until all places are filled, from Monday to Friday.

  1. PRIORITY APPOINTMENTS:

This section is reserved only for departures within 30 daysif the places in the ordinary agenda are sold out. It will be possible to book an appointment only for proven and documented needs (health, work, study and tourism). The citizen, in addition to the documentation normally required, must deliver to the counter all the documentation proving his need (e.g. declaration of employment of the company ordering the travel of its employee together with a copy of the flight tickets, copy of the return flight tickets for tourist trips, documentation for study issued by the Italian or foreign school together with a copy of the flight tickets, medical documentation certifying the state of health without indicating any pathology). Only residents in the province of Brescia will be able to access this service.

  1. VISUAL APPOINTMENTS:

For immediate departures within 15 days, due to unexpected needs that arise, if priority appointments are not available or bookable, the user can use a button, clearly highlighted in red, with the words “Print Urgency Form”. This function will allow you to fill out, print and sign a form where you can report the reasons for the urgency for subsequent evaluations by the Police Headquarters. In this case, the citizen will have to go in person to the Passport Office, in via Capriolo nr. 3 during the morning opening hours, with all the documentation proving the need.

The documentation to be attached for priorities must be related to the priority itself, for example the declaration of work of the company that orders the travel of its employee together with the copy of the airline tickets, the copy of the airline tickets for tourist trips, the documentation for study issued by the Italian or foreign school together with the copy of the airline tickets, the medical documentation certifying the state of health without indicating any pathology.
