Thefts in service stations on the A4: four people arrested

They stole from motorway service stations on the A4, particularly packs of cheese, using stolen cars. The alleged perpetrators, four people living in the Turin area, were tracked down and stopped by the Novara Est traffic police.

The agents in fact carried out four precautionary custody orders against as many subjects held responsible for numerous thefts that occurred in the service areas along the Turin-Milan motorway.

The Polstrada investigation began when a group of four people, aboard a stolen car, stole some packages of cheese from the service stations in the Villarboit South and North service areas. In all, six thefts were the subject of the Stradale investigations, coordinated by the Vercelli Prosecutor’s Office.

In recent days, then, the four alleged perpetrators of the thefts were tracked down by the police in Turin and precautionary custody orders were carried out against them: for three of them the obligation to report to the judicial police was applied, while for the fourth is precautionary custody in prison.

Further investigations carried out subsequently made it possible to report two other people for theft.
