A whirlwind suddenly formed on Tuesday shortly after 11.15 in the Rovigo area, starting from the city and moving towards Lower Padua, in the direction of Stanghella and Borgo Veneto. The tornado would have caused extensive damage in various areas especially close to the Alìper supermarket in via Porta d’Adige in Rovigo: in the parking lot of the shopping center the parked cars were hit by the roofing portions of a warehouse warehouse of the clothing that is across the street. Windshield wipers and rear windows were destroyed by pieces flying onto the forecourt.

The tornado then moved on towards the hamlets of Cantonazzo and Granzette, then towards Lendinara before encroaching on the Lower Padua area, hitting the areas of Boara Pisani, Stanghella, Solesino and Baone as well as Borgo Veneto where dozens of trees and branches fell.
