After last week’s experiment, which attracted a number of visitors above all expectations, the Cathedral of Crema will also propose two evening openings this week, from 9pm to 11pm. Thursday, coinciding with the “Di Giove” event “, promoted by the Municipality of Crema, and on Saturday, for the benefit of the “people of the tanks”, it will be possible not only to visit the Cathedral and access the crypt with the 11th century archaeological area, but also go up to the panoramic terrace of the bell tower , to enjoy an exclusive view of the city at night. For the bell tower, the 9.30pm time slot is particularly recommended, when within a matter of minutes the sunset fades into twilight, until the advent of night. As always, access to the Cathedral remains free, while a ticket is required for the crypt and bell tower. The initiative, made possible by the team of volunteers formed by the new Board of Directors of the Cathedral, aims to bring the Cathedral even closer to the people of Crema and the numerous tourists who arrive in the city. An initiative that hit the mark, given that last Saturday, from 9pm to 11pm, without any publicity of the experiment, the Duomo was visited by over 200 people, 50 of whom even climbed the bell tower. And just as many were unable to do so, due to the maximum capacity of visitors in the tower having been reached, according to the safety plan for visits prepared at the beginning of the year. During the next openings, it will also be possible to attend spot auditions of the organ present in the Cathedral, whose music will make the night visit even more fascinating.
