Massimo Giletti he returned to TV with the special Ustica: a breach in the wall, where he tried to clarify, with little success, the massacre that occurred on 27 June 1980 in the Italian skies, when an airliner (the DC-9 Itavia), traveling from Bologna to Palermo, crashed at 3600 meters under the sea , an event that cost the lives of 81 Italians. Among other things, Tricarico “wore” a sneer on his face in front of these families as they protested his statements (“We are wasting time by letting ourselves be told a bunch of lies, I ask Giletti not to give space to lies anymore!“, one of the family members exclaimed loudly), which made the viewers quite nervous and caused chaos in the studio.
Right during the debate, the presenter of the investigation lost control in the studio for several minutes, even going as far as “to welcome” to a guest at the wrongest possible time, that is when he should have been thinking about stemming the situation.
