The curtain has finally fallen on a poisonous and uncertain electoral campaign. All the Umbrian municipalities that went to the vote have their own mayor and councillors. At this point, while waiting for the installation session of the City Assembly, we need to start forming the new municipal councils. An always difficult task for the new mayors forced to find an agreement with the coalition parties and movements. This time too there will be no shortage of fibrillations and bad moods. “I will do it as soon as possible, but first a serious and rigorous reconnaissance of the profiles is needed, starting with the skills. It will be a choice that we will all make together,” announced Vittoria Ferdinandi. More or less the same thing happened in Bastia Umbra after the victory of the centre-left and the election of Erigo Pecci as mayor. In Bastia it will be a mix of skills and preferences, the new mayor suggests. Five councilors who will have to support the mayor in putting his electoral program into practice. The names circulating are those of Ramona Furiani for the Democratic Party, Paolo Ansideri of Progetto Bastia, Marcello Rosignoli or Laura Servi for the M5S, a representative of the Uniti per Bastia civic list. Even in Gubbio, after the victory of the center-right with Vittorio Fiorucci, the all-councillors began. Fiorucci’s team will certainly be ready for the first council meeting. The puzzle, according to the first rumors, would already be partially defined in its main pieces. The architect Spartaco Capannelli is appointed as the next councilor for public works, as is Filippo Farneti for the budget. It is very likely that the new mayor will also make use of an external councilor he trusts. In Gualdo Tadino, as we have already written, Massimiliano Presciutti is already at work with the new council appointed a few days after the electoral success. Deputy mayor is Maria Paola Gramaccia, who will deal with the environment and urban planning. Marco Parlanti, Giorgio Locchi, Jada Commodi and Gabriele Bazzucchi are the councilors chosen by Presciutti. In Foligno, however, the situation is even more delicate because the center-left is asking for a recount of the votes. Stefano Zuccarini, the outgoing centre-right mayor, won the elections with just 27 votes. Too few to avoid seeing errors, contested (9), void (269) and blank (118) ballots. In the meantime, the toto-names have taken place in the city of Quintana. The reconfirmation of the outgoing deputy mayor Riccardo Meloni, the most voted councilor candidate, is certain. More than certain confirmation for Fdi lawyer Marco Cesaro and the outgoing culture councilor Decio Barili. The other names circulating in the city are the outgoing councilor Michela Giuliani and the budget councilor Elisabetta Ugolinelli. In San Giustino, however, the new municipal council has already been created. The new mayor Stefano Veschi, center-left, has appointed Sara Marzà as deputy mayor, entrusting him with Urban Planning, Construction and Environment. The councilors are Andrea Guerrieri (Budget and personnel), Simone Selvaggi (Public works and roads), Enzo Franchi (Social and health services), Loretta Zazzi (Culture and tourism).
