Clowns, jugglers, artists, soap bubbles and stories. The Nonsoloclown festival, a street and urban theatre festival, returns to Monza, in its sixteenth edition, which will liven up the squares of Monza every Saturday evening. The program features artists of national and international fame with fun and engaging shows, suitable for an audience of all ages who will keep company for those who stay in the city on hot summer weekends. A summer of joy, good humor and fantasy, with three shows and two repeats per evening. The shows are free admission.

Alessandra Pessina/ Goes down the street – Aerial acrobatics
Acrobats and visionaries, with their heads in the clouds, but their feet firmly rooted to the ground, they are constantly searching for a balance between utopia and reality.
Jessica da Rodda/“Oops!” – Clown and Hula Hoop Show
Katrina, a woman with a precise and severe look, finds herself facing a thousand difficulties with the objects that surround her and escape her control. The circus technique becomes a metaphor to tell the universe of a clown balanced between the mania for perfection and the freedom to let herself be carried away by what happens.
Andrea Addante/ Rosso a Ridosso – Juggling, clowning
Circus show and street theater in an escalation of technical and comic skills.
An eccentric acrobat will accompany you in his bizarre world of virtuosity. Juggling, clowning and live music will be the main ingredients of this show. A show that will entertain adults and children.

Gaia Atmen/ Allen key – Manipulation and Verticalism
Brugola transports us to a surreal and philosophical world in which objects, words take on an extraordinary life, the circus puts itself at the service of a literally timeless narrative!
A unique show every time, which makes adults, children and teenagers dream (and laugh). Fantasy and tricks make the humble and careless Brugola a character in her own way.
The round circle/ Pinocchio – Puppets
Collodi’s work is represented in this show as faithfully as possible to the original text, trying to reduce changes to a minimum to give the viewer a dynamic narrative, with deeply characterized characters inspired by commedia dell’arte.
The fulcrum of the narrative is the change in Pinocchio which leads him to grow from a “piece of wood” to a “puppet” and finally to a “real child”, allegorically represented by the journey that starts from the domestic environment, but which he is soon abandoned to get to know the outside world, a transformation that is also reflected in the elements of the scenography.
Roberta Paolini/La Supercasalinga – Clownerie
A “solo” for women, the story of an absurd, exaggerated character, a caricature in which each of us can actually recognize ourselves with our own obsessions and habits; a solitude masked by a thousand commitments, “jobs”, duties and a bad temper that is nothing more than a defense from the jokes that the entire world reserves for those who are not “perfect”, “beautiful”, “nice”, “successful”.
A psychological comedy show that makes you think, laugh, and without any need for words.

Luca Cutrupi/Soap dreams – Soap bubbles
In the light, the darkness. From the darkness, the light. In an atmosphere on the border between dream and reality, magical luminous spheres dance lightly in the darkness, in a crescendo of emotions that keep the audience in suspense until the overwhelming Grand Finale!
Joan Rovira /A load of games – Installations, games
The playground consists of a series of installations created by the Catalan master Joan Rovira from recycled materials such as bicycles, pots, furniture and much more. Each installation consists of a puzzle or a skill test for 1 or more players and allows adults and children to test themselves and challenge their friends.
Bingo/One Meter Away from You – Weird Juggling
A unique, original, comic and poetic show.
A journey into the public’s imagination by drawing the world with a wooden folding rule.
“Distance separates bodies, not hearts.”
Miraculous inventions with folding rules, a pinch of magic and strange free-scale acrobatics. Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.

Daniele Romano/ DJ Gray – Juggling and music
A decidedly atypical gentleman animates squares and theatres, thanks to an inexhaustible source of witty idiocy.
During the performance he will discover himself to be an imaginative beatboxer and an unlikely juggler, capable of transforming raspberries into electronic music and umbrellas into unexpected objects.
The show takes place in constant contact with the audience and is designed to involve spectators of all ages.
Erewhon/ Air games – Games setup
Small and giant kites, “balloons” to inflate, windsocks, dragons, submarines, clouds and a large blue-blue sheet, here is a fantastic set of flying objects that will fill and color the square, involving both adults and children.
Davide Fontana/ Talchè – A dark clown show
The show is called Talché, which in some dialects means “here and now”. Here and now is all we need to exorcise fear, to laugh at death or until we die.
So it’s a visual comedy show with a vaguely disturbing flavour.
Brigith Ramos/ Lollipop – Acrobatic hula hoop
Acrobatic show in which verticalism numbers and acrobatics with lollipops combined with dance and manipulation are presented.
Andrea Meroni/ Boy’s Clown – Juggling and clowning
Having signed up for the scouts at the age of 30 to put his life in order, the proud cub is struggling with the orientation test: left in the woods with a map he will have to reach the chosen place.
Something in his scouting skills has gone wrong and he finds himself in the middle of the square, but since all those people seem to be there for him, he chooses to entertain them for 30 to 45 minutes.
Tadam Company/ 13 Meters – Aerial circle and trapeze
The old circus director has a trunk from which he takes out memories so vivid that they seem to jump and twirl just like his beloved company…

Matteo Cionini/ Allegro – Mime
“Whoever thinks Classical Music is boring, raise your hand!”
Start like this. And usually more than half of children do. At the end of the show: “Whoever thinks that Classical Music can be fun, raise your hand!”. All the children raise their hands, the adults smile.

A mime, a very particular clown with a strange little voice. It is a show of absolute improvisation, typical of the great street clowns. His ability to play with people is extraordinary. Serena Bartolotto/ Duo di Fiamme – Puppetry
Due di flames was born from the collaboration of two artists: Marco and Michela. The meeting of Marco’s fire juggling and Michela’s tribal dance gave life to the project. Together they create out of the ordinary and engaging shows, with always new choreographies, with a fusion of different musical genres and dances, suitable for every occasion.
