This is enriched with an unmissable event 31st edition of the review “Star Nights“: Thursday 27 Juneat 9pmat Courtyard of the University of Bari (entrance to Piazza Umberto)the extraordinary voice of Karima with the show “In love with Burt Bacharach” will take the audience on an emotional journey through the unforgettable melodies of the great American composer. Karimaan interpreter from Livorno much loved by the general public, will be accompanied byICO Sounds of the South Orchestra directed by the teacher Augustine Ruscillo. The greatest hits of Bucharach will come back to life in a symphonic version thanks to the arrangements of Silvano Mastromatteowhile the journalist and composer Massimo Giampiero Marsico, show creator of the evening, will intersperse the musical performances with fascinating anecdotes and stories about Bacharach’s life, retracing the fundamental stages of the Kansas City maestro’s career. From Do You Know the Way to San Jose to Magic Momentsfrom Close to You to Raindrops Keep Falling Hon my Headpassing through I’ll Never Fall In Love Again, Alfie And This Guy’s in Love with Youthe songs on the program represent a sum of his most iconic melodies, in a key that combines tradition and modernity storytelling, for a dive into the heart of Bacharach’s music. It will be to give life to these songs Karimaa versatile and refined artist, who in 2009 took part in the Sanremo Festival and opened the concerts of Whitney Houston and John Legend. His powerful voice, which shifts effortlessly from one genre to another, adapts perfectly to the romantic and sophisticated atmospheres of the pop giant’s music. Moreover, the singer collaborated with Burt Bacharach, who wrote and produced songs for her on the album “Karima“. Augustine Ruscilloa musicologist, organist and choir director with an extensive curriculum behind him, will direct the ICO Suoni del Sud Orchestra, a musical reality from Puglia that boasts numerous collaborations with internationally renowned artists.

The concert entrance has been moved from the street Nicolai in Piazza Umberto due to the large turnout of the public.
