Great animation in the municipality of Castiglione di Garfagnana for cultural events that highlight culture, music, the beauty of the places, all combined with a special method aimed at the growth of the social fabric and services and greater tourist attraction.

Particular attention is paid to the hospitality and refreshment activities of the area, with the village of Garfagnana among the most beautiful in Italy which is about to be enriched with new proposals in the commercial catering sector. In fact, two new catering businesses are arriving in the historic center of the capital; the Pizzeria Lino, which will go into business from today at 6pm with the official inauguration of the venue, and the characteristic Taverna di Monica and Silvano, run by two very well-known and appreciated specialists in typical cuisine in the Valley.

In a context that involves the mountain hamlets and the Alpine Refuges, the 4 events were presented which will see them involved in a music festival from 7 July to 9 August, promoted thanks to the collaboration with “AMACultura”, the cultural association led by Matteo Marcalli, with the support of the Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca Foundation. the cultural festival “Music and Sounds at high altitude” will touch unique places in the mountains, characterized by breathtaking views that will involve tourists, visitors and citizens of Garfagnana who love the mountains.

Appointment with the opening concert scheduled for Sunday 7 July at 5pm at Rifugio Cella, with the most beautiful soundtracks of auteur cinema, a program along the same lines as that of 28 July at 6.30pm at Rifugio Il Burigone. There will be a tribute to maestro Giacomo Puccini in the year of the centenary of his death, set for Friday 9 August at 9pm in San Pellegrino in Alpe, as for Shelley’s poem inspired by the mountains of the area which turns 200, scheduled for Sunday 21 July at 5pm at Rifugio il Pradaccio.

“A program of particular importance that wants to put the Mountain and our local activities at the center – comments the president of the city council, Roberto Tamagnini -, with the beauty of our land at the center which must be valued and respected”.
