After the signatures of the contracts of the general directors of the healthcare companies which will arrive on July 1st, the appointments became operational by decree only a few days ago, the political game shifts to the appointments of health and administrative directors which must take place by mid-July. And there is great fibrillation between the parties. The general managers must officially choose the men of the headquarters.
As stated in the appointment decree, they will have to choose the health and administrative directors no later than 15 days. And there is great excitement about the candidatures. But for days the outgoing general and health directors have been working on the waiting list issue. They must be cut and done quickly under penalty of revocation of the office. The President of the Region warned that there will be quarterly checks.
Reports to our editorial staff show no signs of decreasing. The latest in chronological order: ad a patient with oculomotor paresis to whom the specialist doctor urgently prescribed an MRI of the brain and brainstem was given November 4, 2024 as the first useful date from the overcup: five months despite the urgent wording on the prescription. Yet according to a national law the National Health System must guarantee a service within 72 hours if the prescription case is defined as urgent; within 10 days if there is a short code, within 30 days for a visit and 60 for an exam if it is deferrable and again within 120 if the case is programmable. Once these deadlines have been exceeded, the possibility of activating the reimbursement is triggered by sending a certified e-mail to the hospital which has failed and is unable to respect the deadlines even with the intramoenia system where the patient should pay but in this case the patient will be responsible for it except for the ticket it’s the company. And precisely for this reason the patient in question sent a certified e-mail to the Health Authority and the Regional Health Department.
The ASP, which has already sent a communication to the Cup in which it asks to specify that the dates for urgent loved ones are only indicative and that they will be rescheduled, has taken action. The patient has been contacted. The performance enters a different path and will be carried out in the next few days. Of the urgent cases booked from January 1st to April 30th at the ASP, around thirty are still waiting. There were 185 of them. Several hundred responded to the requests published by the ASP for the hiring of doctors and nurses who will have to work under extraordinary conditions. The surgical operations that were still waiting have already begun: around 500. The ASP’s one hundred day plan will end on September 30th.
