The cooperative, which operates mainly in the Ferrara area and is part of the Confcooperative Ferrara system, had emerged from a difficult 2022 due to the legacy left by the pandemic, the consumption crisis and increases in energy costs. 2023 ended, however, with great satisfaction and confidence in the years to come “as evidence of everyone’s great work and a company that was able to maintain a particularly difficult period“, as commented by president Claudio Dusi.

The director of Confcooperative Ferrara Ruggero Villani also took part in the assembly, highlighting how Serena is an important social actor and point of reference for workers and families in the area. The cooperative was founded in 1986, has its new headquarters in via Maestri del Lavoro 5, in Ferrara, and deals with the management of social welfare, health and educational services. And it is one of the main companies involved in social work in the province of Ferrara where almost all of its services aimed at children, young people, adults, elderly and disabled people.

“The perspective has always been to commit one’s own resources and energy to professionalism, training, instrumentation, research and innovation”, stated President Dusi, who has led Coop Serena since 2016 “to ensure interventions that respond to theevolution of needs and the growing demand for quality”.

The elective assembly has reconfirmed as president, for the three-year period 2024-2027, Claudio Dusi, electing the new Board of Directors with Chiara Bertolasi as vice-presidency, Maria Luisa Cannavale, Tomas Gallerani, Marianna Luciani, Simona Mosca, Simone Minichiello, Francesca Rosignoli, Roberto vannini. 494 workers work in the cooperative, of which 307 are members. The services offered directly, or in collaboration with other local entities, reach more than 5 thousand beneficiaries.
