Luca Ricci he was stopped during the night and taken to prison for the murder of his parents in Fano. He is a worker 50 year old metalworker. He had moved upstairs to his parents’ house when his wife went to live in Fossombrone with her children and new partner in 2018.
A ‘quiet’ boy
Luca’s neighbor and friend describes him as “a good, good, calm, absolutely non-violent boy”. Mirko Barduagni on the daily newspaper Il Resto del Carlino. “He was a good father who, as far as possible, never let his children lack anything. He separated from his wife, but they remained on good terms because you can’t wish Luca ill. He never seemed like a depressed person to me, despite his problems. He was very close to his parents. But sometimes you know what goes on in people’s heads. In the end, no one knows what happens in families.”
The crime
On the night of the crime, between Sunday and Monday, Luca went home to his mother who wasn’t feeling well. They probably started arguing about money and the son killed his parents. After him he returned home, where his 18-year-old son was sleeping, who didn’t notice anything. The next morning, as if nothing had happened, Luca accompanied the boy to school for the remedial courses he had to follow. When he returned home he called 112 to report his parents missing. Before collapsing and confessing to the crime he was interrogated for 16 hours.
