Murder in Pescara, the interrogations and the detention order: «Christopher Thomas was almost dead and they told him to shut up»

Before the massacre, lunch at the sushi restaurant: the group of boys, including the two perpetrators of the stabbing and killing of Christopher Thomas, a small-time drug dealer from the province of Pescara, arrive at the meeting after a group lunch. Therefore, it is the story of one of them that clarifies the contours of what happened: «We met Christopher and M. wanted to call a friend of Christopher’s so that he could bring him the money. M. told Christopher that it had become a matter of respect. We went near the silos to talk and Christopher asked M. why he brought his henchmen with him.”

The witness: «C. intervened because he was a friend of the other”

The interrogations of the Pescara flying squad, however, do not end here. Other things are also reconstructed, such as the fact that one of the suspects had been seen with a gun.

And here is the passage reconstructed in detention order: «I noticed that C. had a small pistol». Suddenly, as the small group proceeds, M., one of the two perpetrators of the stabbing, shows the knife to the others “making a face”. THEThe group sees M. raging: «When we arrived, M. continued to stab him. They said that M. stabbed him fifteen times and C., who then took the knife with a black blade, gave him ten more. I moved away and went to the others.” The victim “was making noises: he was almost dead, and they told him to shut up.”. But there is more to this gruesome story of “missing empathy” as police investigators have defined it. When asked why C. also hit Christopher since the debt belonged to M. alone, the witness replied: “Because they were friends.”
