CatanzaroA significant meeting was held in recent days between the Catanzaro Host Lions Club, led by Danilo Iannello, and the management of the Movement for the Catanzaro-Lamezia Urban Area. During the meeting, the Movement’s management carried out a detailed evaluation of the work carried out so far and discussed future initiatives, especially in view of the summer period. The Movement examined together with the members of the Catanzaro Host Lions Club the numerous interactions it has had to date with various institutions and important figures, to underline a broad involvement which testifies to the importance and breadth of the support received from the Movement.

During the meeting, the importance of the work of the technical, legal and socio-health commissions was reiterated, already operational and fundamental for developing concrete proposals to be submitted for general approval. The crucial role of the institutions, in particular of the Region, the Province and the Municipalities, was once again underlined, just as the participation of the Professional Orders, Associations and Clubs is considered essential to enhance the Catanzaro-Lamezia Urban Area. One of the main objectives that emerged from the meeting is the organization of a public assembly, planned to celebrate the first anniversary of the establishment of the Movement. With 500 members, many of whom represent hundreds of members, the Movement has already achieved an important goal: raising awareness among institutions and public opinion of the need for serious and engaging development of the central area of ​​Calabria, avoiding waste of time and parochialism harmful.

The meeting was introduced by the Coordinator Piero Amato, who presented a summary of the work carried out by the representatives of the Movement, highlighting the great enthusiasm found during the meetings and among public opinion, increasingly interested in the work of the Movement for the development of central area of ​​Calabria and its capital. The management underlined that only through constant dialogue and close collaboration with the institutions will it be possible to achieve the desired results for the well-being and development of the entire Catanzaro-Lamezia urban area.
