The constant commitment of the Fiamme Gialle of Ravenna continues in the context of the economic control services of the territory and in combating illicit trafficking in the area of the station and the Speyer gardens, which has led, with the start of the summer season in the month of June alone, to seize around 70 doses of narcotic substances, as well as to report 16 subjectsof which 14 to the Prefectural Authority.
The latest episode dates back to a few days ago, when an Italian man was identified and arrested, found in possession of a narcotic substance in quantities not compatible with its intended use for personal use.
In particular, the Dog Team of the Ravenna Group, with the help of the Railway Police staff, has implemented the report of the new Bekam dog unit, “attracted” by the traveller’s suitcase coming from Bologna and decided to investigate further.
After the luggage inspection, where they found a “block” of hashish weighing approximately 100 grams and 46.6 grams of cocaine pure, not yet cut, immediate searches were carried out at the arrested person’s home, which led to the discovery of another 50 grams of marijuana.
The man was immediately arrested and referred to the local Judicial Authority, before being placed under house arrest, awaiting trial.
“The control action, which is also part of the activities carried out in favor of maintaining public order and safety, is part of the broader activity of preventing and combating the abuse and dealing of narcotic substances, especially in those areas which, due to high attendance, may be most affected by the phenomenon” conclude from the Financial Police.
