Celebrate the traditional Bruna Festival in all its forms is the objective ofAssociation of the Madonna SS della Bruna. Also through the language of fashion as an expression of Made in Italy. For the 2024 edition Michele MiglionicoItalian Haute Couture designer, has designed a limited edition of the t-shirt dedicated to the “most awaited day of the year” for people from Matera, and beyond.
The t-shirt, available in 3 color variations, reflects the essence and spirit of the Bruna Festival, one of the oldest and most heartfelt celebrations in the city of Matera.
The studied design takes up the main figures of tradition: the Madonnai Knights and the famous Chariot. The details of the iconoclastic imagery have been expertly integrated into a gadget which, as for many years, represents a real “uniform” for all the participants at the party.
The designer Miglionico, known for his ability to blend tradition and innovation, declared: “It was an exciting challenge to collaborate with the numerous professionals who actively participate in the creation of this centuries-old festival but above all to pay homage to the image and symbols linked to the Madonna della Bruna, an event so dear and important to the city of Matera.
Creating a shirt that could encompass the soul of the Festival was an exciting goal that my team of designers and tailors worked on”.
The limited edition t-shirt will be available, along with the official 2024 edition t-shirt.
