“You spit on the dying Thomas and an extinguished cigarette in his face”: the reports of the Pescara murder

They didn’t stop even when Thomas Christopher Luciani he was now lifeless, continuing to attack his body with “torture” And “cruelty”. They went so far as to hit him with “kicks and you spit while he was lying on the ground”, now dying, after what had been inflicted on him 25 stab wounds. Then the swim in the sea, where they even made “macabre irony” about how they had reduced the 17 years old killed near Baden Powell park Pescara. This is what emerges from detention order of the two peers and come on verbal of the witnessesthat is, the members of the group of 7-8 people who were present at thehomocide on Sunday evening.

The decree underlines that the two 15-year-olds “in competition with each other” killed Luciani “by inflicting torture and operating with cruelty, by kicking and spitting while he was lying on the ground lifeless”. Even one cigarette off on the face. “What emerges is the absence of emotional empathy with such a fact unheard of brutalitysuch as to rail against the corpse, going to the bathing establishment to do the swimming in the seawithout calling rescued or report the matter to the authorities, or rather chat with macabre irony on the event that has just occurred”, we read in the decree.

One of the witnesses told the story of the gasps of the dying 17-year-old and the two 15-year-olds telling him to shut up: “I was shocked, I wanted to stop them but I didn’t know how. It seemed like they were no longer thinking about it,” said the young man – also the son of a policeman, like one of the two alleged killers – who then raised the alarm. And he adds: “Despite what happened we went to the seaside to swim” and there one of the two alleged murderers “disposed of the knife which he had wrapped in a sock stained with bloodleaving him behind the rocks”.

The trap and the murder were triggered because the victim owed 250 euros to one of the suspects: “He said that for him it had become a question of respect”, we read in the police reports interrogations to which the other children involved in the affair were subjected on Sunday night. According to the reconstruction everyone met at the Pescara stationso there was a first comparison in the area of bus terminal with the victim, and from there they went to Baden Powell park: one of the two boys under investigation already had the knife. There is therefore the possibility that the investigators will evaluate the premeditation seeing as the knife was already in the backpack and was shown to the others already at the station.

Then there is also the story of a change of clothes which will be used after the murder. The other suspect, however, would have been seen with one small gun in hand and attempts by one of the two suspects to intimidate the other kids also emerged: “While we were walking I think he said that this had to stay between the five of us.” When they ask the kids witnesses why one of the two despite not having no credit towards the victim and not even knowing him, took the knife and also slashed Luciani, the response was “because they are friends”. From the minutes it emerges that the ‘creditor’ was a small-time drug dealer as well as the victim.
