He tried to kill his ex. He would have hit his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend with two knives, in several parts of the body, who is now hospitalized in very serious conditions. It happened last night in Racale, in the province of Lecce. The attacker, a 22-year-old, was arrested by the police for attempted murder. As far as we know, the ex-boyfriend had never accepted the end of their relationship which lasted six years and ended about a month ago.

The attack apparently took place in the garden of her parents’ house where the young man appeared with two knives, striking her several times in several parts of the body. Rescued by her parents, the 21-year-old was taken to the emergency room of the Gallipoli hospital and from there, due to the severity of her injuries, transferred with a guarded prognosis to the Tricase hospital.
The attack was witnessed by the young woman’s mother who attempted to stop the 23-year-old who was then arrested red-handed for attempted murder by the police who intervened after a report. There are other details that emerge about the attack that took place last night, at the home of the girl stabbed by her ex. According to what was communicated by the police, the young woman’s injury is not life-threatening and was conscious when she was transported to hospital where she is still hospitalized. The military seized the two knives used in the attack and the 23-year-old, at the direction of the public prosecutor, was taken to Lecce prison.
