PONTEDERA. Decisive week to unblock the negotiation between Pontedera and the talented striker, former Olbia, Daniele Ragatzu.
The talks began last week, the footballer needs to look for a professional team given the relegation to Serie D of the Gallura team with whom he has a contract until 30 June 2025. In addition to this, enrollment in fourth grade is not a given series of the Sardinians who risk bankruptcy, so the player began to look around and there was no shortage of offers. According to what has been filtered, the player showed up at Mannucci yesterday afternoon and there seems to be total agreement between the parties. Obviously the conditional in these circumstances is mandatory, we are talking about a footballer of an absolute level so until we can put pen to paper and make it official, caution is necessary. An official announcement which, if all things proceed in the right direction, should take place next week.
But the negotiation to reach Ragatzu is not the only one for sporting director Moreno Zocchi: as is known from the Genoa Primavera – we believe on loan – the goalkeeper Simone Calvani and the left winger Alessio Sarpa will arrive. For the rest, Giacomo Benedetti will have to be replaced, who expressed the desire for a change of scenery, even if this also happened last year but then an agreement was found between the parties. Furthermore there are players owned by Pontedera such as Guidi, Ianesi, Perretta, Paudice – returning from loan to Renate – Selleri and Marrone. Among the players out of contract are also the goalkeepers Nicolò Vivoli and Giuseppe Stancampiano, it is not excluded that we could work on a reconfirmation. In defense, the possible confirmations of Pretato who will be added to Gagliardi while Ambrosini will join Sarpa, Cerretti and Perretta in the winger battery must be evaluated.
Ultimately, Ragatzu’s deal is the main one at the moment, but the Granata sporting director is moving 360° to give Agostini as complete a squad as possible at the training camp on 15 July. Then with the start of the transfer market some situations may change, with possible offers towards owned players.
