These are days of careful evaluations for the Crotone who will have to thin out the squad to raise cash and free up places in the team.
Among the outgoing players is the defender Davide Bove who will leave Crotone after two seasons. It was La who took an interest in him in the last few hours Vis Pesaroteam looking for reinforcements in the department.
To shore up the defense the Calabrians would have identified in Matthew Gilli of Picerno a possible reinforcement, a player already trained last year by the new Crotone coach Emilio Longo, fresh from his experience with Picerno.
Crotone, Bove greetings
Among the players destined to change shirts is Davide Bove. After around 30 appearances in two tournaments, the central defender will leave Calabria to find a new position. His contract is expiring and will end on 30 June 2024. A renewal clause would have been triggered in the event of Crotone’s promotion to Serie B, an eventuality which vanished following the elimination of the team led by Lamberto Zauli in the Playoffs against Picerno. On Bove’s trail there would be Vis Pesaro coached by Roberto Stellone who is building a team to support an ambitious championship.
Gilli hot name
For one defender leaving, another could arrive in Crotone. The hot name of the last few days is that Matteo Gilli, 27 year old defender of Picerno. An element already known to the new Crotone coach Emilio Longo, who in the last two championships led Picerno in Serie C.
In defence, at the moment, Crotone will only be able to count on the presence of the young man John of April and is considering renewing his contract Federico Papini.
Defender and captain Guillaume Gigliotti will be released at the end of his contract.
