Forlì, policeman hit: arrest validated

The arrest of the man who on Saturday evening knocked down the commander of the Castrocaro carabinieri station, lieutenant Daniele Bongrazio, hospitalized at the “Morgagni Pierantoni” hospital with a 20-day prognosis for head trauma, has been confirmed. and elbow fracture (he should be discharged today). The charge against the arrested person is resistance to a public official, but in the trial which will be held on July 1st at 10am the final charge will be formulated by the public prosecutor. Meanwhile the man, defended by the lawyer Monica Vallicelli of Forlì, has been released, with the obligation to sign for three days a week at the Carabinieri barracks.

In the validation hearing on the third floor of the courthouse, an attempt was made to clarify what happened on Saturday around 9.30 pm in via Matteotti in Castrocaro Terme. According to the reconstruction, the arrested man would have verbally reprimanded a motorist who was traveling at high speed along the road, endangering his own safety and that of other users: an argument would have arisen in the street, interrupted by the arrival of a Carabinieri patrol from the spa station which was already in the area for normal patrolling. When asked by the military to show identification documents, however, the man showed signs of nervousness, refusing to provide his personal details and getting back into the car to leave the scene. When he put the car into gear, however, in front of his hood was the commander of the Army station, who was knocked over and thrown to the ground, hitting his head and elbow.
