«I submitted a request for an urgent hearing in III this morning Health Commission on the issue relating to rescue drivers engaged in the 118 service”.
The regional councilor made this known Antonio Paolo Scalera (La Puglia Domani) in reference to the hiring of new drivers.
“There are still 39 units who are waiting to find out what their working future will be and who are waiting for the third public notice that the Taranto ASL has not yet published. “With the first public notice of 2021 – continued regional councilor Scalera – they came 344 rescue drivers hired, subsequently all internalized. In 2023, with a second public notice, the Ionian ASL tried to cover the remaining 39 vacancies. To date, however, these 39 units are still waiting for their job placement. For these reasons I have asked to urgently interview the regional councilor for health, the general director of the local health authority of Taranto and the sole administrator of Sanitaservice to find out what the intentions of the Local Health Authority of Taranto are regarding the 39 rescue drivers who participated in the second public notice and who they still haven’t found a job placement, when the third public notice will be published and whether it is the intention of the regional health department to provide new hiring plans also the inclusion of the 39 rescue drivers who from 2023 will ask to know their future”.
