The Rossoneri club has made it official that it will hold its pre-season training camp in Calabria, in San Giovanni in Fiore, from 19 July.
After making Massimo official Brambilla as new coach and Domenico Rome in the role of sporting director, Foggia lays further foundations in view of the 2024/25 season.
The Rossoneri club has chosen the location and dates of the pre-season training camp. It will be Calabria, precisely San Giovanni in Fioreto host the Apulians from July 19th to August 2nd. In Sila, in the province of Cosenza, Foggia will take the first steps of next season. The announcement came via a press release from the Rossoneri club.
San Giovanni in Fiore is not a new location for the Rossoneri. Already in 2014 the Calabrian town was the retreat location for the team then coached by Roberto De Zerbi. In that season and, above all, in the following one, the Apulian team achieved extraordinary results. The hope in Foggia is that this can also occur in 2024/25.
The goal is clear: try to returning to play a leading role after a difficult 2023/24 seasonin which the Apulians were unable to achieve the playoff objective that appeared within reach in the second round.
The disappointment on the pitch and Canonico’s disengagement
To the disappointment on the pitch for not reaching the promotion play-offs, for example beginning of May the official note from the president was added Canon who had expressed his disengagement.
There were days of anxiety in the Rossoneri house, in which the mayor and the Apulian Sport councilor searched for new possible buyers. At the end of May, however, Canonico, not satisfied with the offers that came to his table, he decided to return to the helm of the Rossoneri clubregistering the team for the next championship.
The decision to focus on Brambilla
After retracing his steps, the Rossoneri owner began the team’s planning. He decided to rely on Massimo Brambilla to try to make the Rossoneri club protagonist again.
From the July 19th he will therefore be the coach former Juventus Next Gen to manage the team in the pre-season. It will be his first time in group C of Serie C and important work is expected after what was shown in the black and white parenthesis, which ended with i quarterfinals in the playoffs.
