“In addition to the 4,800 new law enforcement officers throughout Italy, for a total of over 7,000 in the summer period, 135 more units have been assigned to Calabria, including the Police, Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza, to support the law enforcement officers already present in the area.
In the framework of the plan to strengthen the summer surveillance services which will start from next July 1st, the assignment for the provinces of Cosenza, Catanzaro, Reggio Calabria, Crotone and Vibo Valentia of a joint share between the Police, Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza in support of the Police forces already present in the area is a concrete sign of attention that the Interior Ministry reserves for our Region and for which we thank the Minister Matteo Piantedosi and the Undersecretary Nicola Molteni.
The agents will be available to the Prefects of the capitals, who will identify the most suitable location in relation to the critical issues that have emerged in the territories.
