He then tried to block her and take off her bathing suit. The victim, however, in a desperate attempt to defend himself, managed to grab him a stone with which he hit the attacker on the headthus managing to free himself, get back on his feet and try to escape from the 69-year-old.

However, the man, only slightly injured, would have it again grabbed and would start hitting her with slaps And punches. Just at that moment, a citizen who was walking on the seafront, although unable to fully understand what was happening between the two, called 112 and requested the intervention of the Carabinieri.
The military personnel, who were already in the area, arrived in a few moments and, following the screams of the victimthey managed to stop the attack, securing the woman and requesting the intervention of the doctors of 118.
The woman, who presented obvious abrasions on the body, was transported to the Cannizzaro Hospital, where she was discharged after receiving appropriate treatment. The man, who was also taken to hospital and was treated for the head woundwas immediately arrested by the Carabinieri.
