The public notice for registration in the register of local artists has been published on the website of the municipality of Crotone. He communicates it the Councilor for Culture Nicola Corigliano. The notice is a consequence of the Regulation for the establishment of the register approved in recent weeks by the City Council.
The notice – continues the note from the organization – has the purpose of establishing, training and maintaining the municipal register divided into areas of art specialisation.
With the establishment of the Register the Municipality of Crotone intends to enhance the presence of art in the city arearecognizing the value and historical and cultural importance that art has in the evolutionary processes of an entire community and educational in the growth of each individual.
The municipal register of local artists is a tool for reconnaissance, mapping and contact with the city’s artistic realities, also of a consultative nature.
The register is aimed at enhancing and promoting: the public recognition of artists in the form most suited to their respective fields of expression and creativity; the implementation of an open information network to support artistic circulation and a varied and complex cultural offer; the participation of local artists in initiatives of collective interest; the collaboration and interaction between territorial artistic realities and cultural subjectivities and the productive world in general; the contamination between artistic forms and languages.
It is possible to submit the application by September 10th.
