To monitor any damage caused by human presence, Legambiente has also decided to introduce the daily number limit, so as to allow tourists to enjoy the beach in peace and safety.
The quality of its waters is also enviable and it is no coincidence that the Sicilian region recently decided to start a European pilot project in Lampedusa (Starfish Mission 2030)which aims to make the communities of the smaller islands even more sustainable.
