Husband and wife in their seventies killed at home in Fano: son questioned

Husband and wife killed during the night in their home in Fano, in the Marche region: the son of the couple who lives upstairs raised the alarm. He is under interrogation

BOLOGNA – An elderly couple was killed during the night in Fano, in the Marche region. The double crime took place inside their home, a villa on the outskirts of the town. The alarm was raised this morning the couple’s sonwho is in his 40s, and who is currently under interrogation. The man lives upstairs from the apartment where his parents lived. This morning, around 7.30, he gave the alarm to 112 because his parents didn’t respond. However, it was the firefighters who opened the door of the apartment. According to initial information coming from local newspapers such as Il Resto del Carlino and Corriere Adriatico, the woman was strangled or suffocated, while the man died following a violent blow to the head with a blunt object.

THE NAMES OF THE VICTIMS

The man, 75 years old, was his name Giuseppe Ricci (however it seems that he called himself Giorgio), while the woman, 70 years old, was called Luisa Marconi. The son is called Luca and is a separated father.

The firefighters and law enforcement agencies, including the forensic police, intervened on site this morning.
