ROME – “The flag of our Calabria flies even stronger thanks to Matteo Salvini, Roberto Calderoli and the entire League who have reached a very important goal after years of battles”. These are the words of the Calabrian deputy of the League Simona Loizzo referring to definitive green light from the Chamber to the Calderoli bill (with 172 yes, 99 votes against and one abstention).
“With Autonomy – declares Loizzo – our region will also grow, ready to race to reduce that gap with the rest of the country which up to now has not given credit to the potential of this territory – he continues – Now everything changes and we will move forward with even more strength and determination in the name of responsibility and transparency.”
The leader of the League, Matteo Salvinihe called it a ‘historic day. On social media he wrote: “For a more efficient and more modern Italy, with less waste and more services for all citizens, from North to South: after many years of battles and commitment, despite the lies and attacks from the left, thanks to the League and the government, the Autonomy requested by millions of Italians was also approved this morning in the Chamber and is finally law”.
