Catanzaro: the “Da Margherita” week begins with Croatia-Italy and talks between history and geopolitics

The week begins again in the company of Da Margherita, the large container of culture and entertainment that is animating the historic garden of Catanzaro with a program capable of attracting audiences of all ages through books, music, cinema and sport. Tonight, at 9pm, the appointment returns to Villa Margherita with the Italian national team involved in the European football championships for the last and decisive match of the group against Croatia. All together in front of the big screen, an opportunity to cheer together in an atmosphere of celebration and participation.
Today the day will begin, at 6.30 pm, with Stenio Solinas and Justin Marozzi who will discuss, together with Aldo Costa, on the volume “The man who invented history”, published by Sette colori. Herodotus is considered the Father of History, but he can also be defined as the first and greatest travel writer, as well as the most brilliant foreign policy envoy, without forgetting that he was a fearless explorer and a pioneering geographer. An extraordinary combination of travel and history created by the author Marozzi, an English journalist, historian and travel writer who spent a good part of his professional life in the Muslim world. A work that caught the attention of Solinas, historic editor-in-chief of the Newspaper Culture and current editorial director of Settecolori. This will be followed by musical accompaniment by “Mbatò”.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 25 June, the appointment with the literary talks will see an interesting discussion on current affairs between conflicts and geopolitics. Guests include journalists and war reporters Sebastiano Caputo – today founder of the MAGOG Publishing Group – e Greta Cristini which analyzes the most important international events with its podcasts. The two protagonists, introduced by Joseph Procopiusthey will dialogue with Raffaele Arabia to understand the reasons of those who move the threads of history in a world of increasingly fragmented and contradictory news.
A program full of meetings that will continue throughout the week, Da Margherita, with other illustrious guests such as Guido Catalano and Andrea Di Consoli. Info and updates on https://www.instagram.com/da_margherita__/
