The Far West after the derby against Catanzaro: Daspo suspended three Cosenza fans…

The Calabria Regional Administrative Court suspended three of the nine DASPOs that were inflicted on Cosenza fans following the incidents after the Cosenza-Catanzaro match

The Regional Administrative Court for Calabria (First Section) accepted the appeal presented by the lawyer Enrico Morcavallo and suspended the provision of 3 of the 9 Daspo inflicted on the Cosenza fans in relation to the events that occurred following the Cosenza-Catanzaro football match on March 3 at the “San Vito-Marulla” stadium and outside the stadium.

Lack of suitable evidence…

Three of the nine Cosenza fans believed to be involved in the clashes with Catanzaro supporters that occurred last March 3 near the Rende motorway junction will therefore be able to return to the stadium. The three rossoblù fans had been hit by Daspo because that evening they were near the McDonald’s where all hell had broken out…

The fact is that according to the TAR there is no suitable evidence to demonstrate the participation of the trio in the scuffles with the police and with the opposing fans. On the basis of this reasoning, therefore, the TAR accepted the appeals and suspended the precautionary measures, pending the treatment of the cases in a specific hearing to be held on 12 December 2024.
