In Borgo San Dalmazzo an extraordinary opening weekend of the Sanctuary of Monserrato

Borgo San Dalmazzo – The Sanctuary of Monserrato

The province of Cuneo contains a complex heritage of cultural assets: churches, chapels, fortifications, castles, historic buildings and archaeological sites that represent the roots of our history. Since 2016, the CRC Foundation has traced a path to preserve this heritage through support for restoration and conservation interventions but also enhancement, with the dual objective of safeguard the beauty of the places but also to give new life to spaces through the involvement of communities, the diffusion of knowledge and tourism promotion.

The volume Manifest Beauty, created with the scientific collaboration of the Polytechnic of Turin, Inter-University Department of Territorial Sciences, Projects and Policies, provides a perspective rereading of the interventions supported. Among these, the restoration of the external part of the Sanctuary of Monserrato.

An event has been planned for the occasion extraordinary opening weekend (29/30 June) of the cultural assets selected within the volume as they are highly representative of the protection, restoration and valorization process promoted in recent years in the province of Cuneo.

Sunday 30 June the Monserrato Sanctuary Association will propose a guided tour starting at 4.30 pm held by Peano Ilaria. On the occasion of Manifest Beauty the guided tour will be free. I meet up a few minutes earlier in the churchyard of the Sanctuary.

At 6 pm literary reading by Donatella Signetti and Ric Meynardi: together we will discover the novel Matteo Bussola, The invention of us two (Einaudi 2020 and 2022)
