The ceremony, splendidly conducted by Mauro Mazza, opened on Saturday 22 June in the Opera theatre Sanremo Casino with the awarding of the lifetime achievement award and the two grand trophies. They were delivered respectively to prof. Vittorio Colettito Carmine Abate for the novel “A happy country” (Mondadori) and others Giuseppe Lupo for the opera “Tabacco Clan” (Marsilio).
Says the president and CEO Dr. Gian Carlo Ghinamo: “Applauding the increasingly strong success of this cultural event, we thank the honorary committee for its closeness, chaired by HE the prefect of the province of Imperia, Dr. Valerio Massimo Romeo. A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Stefano Zecchi, to the technical jury, to the popular jurors and to all those who honor us with their participation and collaboration. Our warmest congratulations to Prof. Vittorio Coletti, who celebrated his brilliant literary career with us, and to Carmine Abate and Giuseppe Lupo for the importance of their works”.
The popular jury of International Literary Award Casino of Sanremo Antonio Semeria decreed the final ranking for the “Unpublished Poetry” section by secret ballot:
- First place: Sarita Massai with the anthology “The time of courage” (Sovicille)
- Second place: Paolo Cattolico with the anthology “Song of the second order” (Milan)
- Third place: Federico Pacchioni with the anthology “Countries and characters” (Chapman University, California)
- Mention of the jury: Anna Littardi with the anthology “Life is nothing but a deception” (Imperia).
This is the final ranking for the “Unpublished Fiction” section:
- Giuseppe Pellizzeri for the work “The long night of the doctor. Lo Cascio” (Messina)
- Tie for second place:
- Vince Costa for the work “Hard times for the cats of Palermo” (Agrigento)
- Laura Giorgi for the work “Mare di lapislazzuli” (Grosseto)
- Honorable mention: Olimpia Tedeschi for the opera “Come le stelle” (Naples)
- Jury mention: Donato Maglio for the work “Flowers are born in Auschwitz too” (Genoa).
