The President of Fipav Giuseppe Manfredi comments on the success achieved by the women’s national team in the Nations League final: “The victory achieved today by the women’s national team is an extraordinary victory, which came thanks to a series of fantastic performances from our girls. A huge thank you goes to them, as well as to coach Velasco and all his staff who have done a fantastic job in recent months. We started with the goal of Olympic qualification and, instead, we achieved much more: triumph in the Volleyball Nations League and first place in the world ranking achieved“. Manfredi continues: “Having said that, the best thing was seeing the great volleyball played by the Italians, an exceptional game organization that allowed us to beat the strongest national teams in the world. We all know that the big goal of the year is the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and this VNL gave us the certainty of being on the right path to get there in the best conditions. As I have said several times, the national team’s victories have a fundamental value for our great movement, as well as representing a reward for the work carried out by the thousands of clubs.”
