Brawl and bottle blowing in Gallarate, ten people reported

Ten reports, seven carried out and three still to be notified, for the brawl on June 3rd at the station in Gallarate and through the streets of the city center. The State Police managed to recognize the people involvedincluding a minor, reported for various reasons for the crimes of brawling, carrying objects capable of offending and aggravated threats.

In addition to the complaints, the Police Commissioner, following the investigative activity of the Anti-Crime Police Division, issued the so-called “DASPO Willie”, which will prohibit daspati from accessing the premises and public businesses in the city center of Gallarate and in the area adjacent to the train station for two years. They are barred from entering restaurants, pastry shops, ice cream parlors, bars and similar establishments, dance halls, gaming halls and nightclubs precisely in order to prevent danger to public safety from their conduct. Violation of the provision entails imprisonment from 6 months to 2 years and a fine from 8,000 to 20,000 euros.

The men of the Gallarate police station reconstructed the violent episodes which occurred near the city train station on 3 June, noting that everything originated from a previous brawl, which occurred in the same area and which saw two opposing factions: one made up of subjects of sub-Saharan origin and the other of young North Africans, Albanians and Romanians.

The analysis of the video surveillance systems, acquired by the investigators, made it possible to understand how the North African, Albanian and Romanian faction, after having consumed several bottles of beer and spirits in a bar in the area and having thrown several to the ground, direct towards the entrance of the train station in the direction of some members of the other faction, with whom a first contact began, temporarily interrupted by some passers-by who intervened.

The contact then occurred near the rear entrance of the airport, where the protagonists, armed with bottles taken from waste bins, attempted to fight several times, which in fact occurred shortly afterwards.

In an area adjacent to the velostationa member of the “North African, Albanian, Romanian” faction was attacked by four members of the “sub-Saharan” one, one of whom, riding a bicycle, launched himself at full speed against the antagonist, hitting him in the pelvis with the wheel front while another threatened him, without however hitting him, with a hammer.

The theater of the events then subsequently moved to Piazza XXV Aprile and Via Borghi, where the two factions chased each other again brandishing glass bottles and a hammer, without however managing to clash again thanks to the intervention of the patrols of the police station, the carabinieri and the local police who managed to avoid a further physical clash.
